West Mercia Police have announced that a male has been arrested following a burglary at a doctors surgery in Leominster over the weekend.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“In the early hours of Saturday 12th August police received a call of the alarm going off at WESTFIELD WALK, doctors surgery in Leominster.
“Police attended straight away to unfortunately report that the premise had been broken into.
“Response officers with the help of the dog unit conducted an area search of the surrounding area and a short while later, police located a number of items of property from the premise as well as a male, matching the description of the suspect.
“The male was arrested and searched by police. He was found to have on him a number of stolen goods from the pharmacy in his possession, in addition to controlled substances and property belonging to another victim, whom early that night had the item stolen from them.
“This male was subsequently also wanted by police for another Burglary offence at the Factory Store in Leominster, from a few weeks earlier.
“I am pleased to report, that all stolen property has been recovered and the male has been charged with a number of offences including the two burglaries. He has been remanded by police and is awaiting court.
