Police are wanting to identify two men after they tried to stop another man from sexually assaulting a girl while travelling on a bus.
The incident happened on Friday 27 March on the W bus from Winchcombe to Cheltenham.
When the 17-year-old victim got onto the bus in Winchcombe at 12.07pm a man approached her and made comments on her appearance.
He then tried to put his hand on her leg.
Another man on the bus saw this and told the man to stop, and the suspect then sat back down.
When the girl got off the bus in Cheltenham by Primark on High Street, the suspect then tried to put his hand on her bottom. Another man on the bus again told him not to.
The suspect then followed the child off the bus until she met up with someone she knew further along High Street, and at that point the suspect turned around and walked off.
Police would like to speak to the two men who intervened, as they may have information which could assist the investigation.
No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are ongoing.
The men, and anyone else who was on the bus and witnessed what happened, are asked to contact policing by completing the following online form and quoting occurrence 53260018255: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
