Police are appealing for witnesses after a male attempted to rob a child’s mobile phone in Gloucester last month.
It was reported that an unknown male who was riding a Surron e-bike approached an 11-year-old girl before attempting to steal her mobile phone and knocking her over with the e-bike.
The incident happened on Stroud Road, near to St Barnabus Church, at around 4.25pm on Tuesday 10 March.
The girl sustained bruising to her arms and legs as a result of being knocked over and her phone smashed after falling to the ground.
The Surron e-bike rider left the area without checking on her welfare. He was described as being a male who was wearing an all-black outfit, a black coloured balaclava and black helmet. His e-bike had a silver frame and large black wheels.
An image of the Surron being ridden by the male has been released. It is recognised that the image is not the clearest, but it is hoped that someone may recognise the e-bike or know who it belongs to.
Investigating officers have conducted enquiries since the incident and are now asking anyone who was in the area and saw what happened or who has CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage to make contact.
