Police are appealing for the victim of a robbery in Maisemore near Gloucester earlier this month to come forward.
A member of the public reported that they had seen an unknown man approach a cyclist before knocking him off his bike and putting him into a headlock.
The suspect is then believed to have stolen the victim’s mobile phone and bicycle before leaving the area.
This took place on the footpath which runs alongside the River Severn and connects the A40 to the A417 at around 7.45pm on Tuesday (23 September) and the identity of the victim is currently unknown.
Following searches in the area, a 17-year-old boy from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident and later released on bail.
Officers are now working to identify the victim so they can check his welfare.
On this occasion a description of the victim was not provided however officers are asking him or anyone who saw what happened to come forward so that the investigation can progress.
