Police are appealing for information following reports of suspicious behaviour in villages near Hereford.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“Yesterday afternoon, a young man in his 20s was seen going door to door around Credenhill and Marden, claiming he was on probation and selling household items.

“Dressed in a grey tracksuit, carrying a large Under Armour bag, with a spotty face and blond hair, he’s been telling people he’s part of a release programme after serving time for armed robbery, GBH amongst other stories supposedly trying to turn his life around.

“While he might seem polite at first, several neighbours reported him being pushy and even argumentative if they refused to buy.

“And as if that wasn’t enough, he decided to leave his mark in an unexpected way.

“One resident’s Ring doorbell captured him turning around and giving the garden a quick “watering.”

“Thankfully, the camera didn’t have a powerful enough zoom to see too much detail—not that anyone wanted to!

“All humour aside, stay cautious if this young man comes knocking, and look out for each other.

“Trust your instincts and avoid engaging if you feel uncomfortable. Let’s keep our community safe—and our gardens dry!”
