Police are appealing to the public to help identify a man after concerns were raised about his welfare.

From Gloucestershire Constabulary:

The man, who is believed to be called Mark, was last seen in Coleford at around 9pm last night (Thursday 24 July).

He was last seen on Prosper Lane heading into the woodland.

Officers have been searching for the man along with support from the National Police Air Service, however they have been unable to locate him.

They are now appealing for the man or anyone who recognises him to come forward.

It is believed that he may have links to Coleford and Gloucester.

The man is described as being white, aged in his mid-20s, around 5ft 10in in height and of a slim build.

When he was last seen he was wearing a navy blue cap with white writing on, a light blue T-shirt and black shorts.

He was carrying a dark-coloured backpack and a Nordrok pop-up tent in a circular bag.

Anyone who recognises the man or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 514 of 24 July. If you are with him at the time of calling, ring 999.
