West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a significant fire at a garage in Hereford.

The elderly couple who own the garage have lost the majority of their belongings, with the belongings being housed in the garage due to the house being moved around and adjusted due to one of them suffering with illness and requiring care.

A post shared by Dawn Carter on GoFundMe said:

“I want to raise money to help my elderly neighbours who lost everything in a garage fire last night. Their belongings were in the garage because they had to turn their living room into a hospital so every thing was put into the garage.

“The gentleman is very poorly and has regular carers going in. It’s so sad and with everything they have been through and are going through this has just really knocked them. The police are involved and I just wanted to help in anyway possible. Any help would be gratefully received thank you.
