West Mercia Police officers are appealing for information after a fire was deliberately started in a village in Herefordshire.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“Sometime from 5pm on Wednesday 30th March into Thursday morning, the side of a derelict barn has been set on fire in the Orchard Close area of Sutton St Nicholas.

“The part of the building which caught fire was full of Ivy and it has smoldered from top to bottom. It seems as though the fire went out on its own and luckily there is no great damage to the property.

“If you were in the area at the time and saw anything that could help us identify how the fire started could you please get in touch with us via our team email – herefordrn.snt@westmercia.police.ukand quote 00426-I-30032022.”
