West Mercia Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was struck by a quad bike on a narrow lane in South Shropshire.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
âWe are investigating a collision which happened in a remote spot in Little Stretton and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it.
âAt about 5.10pm on Monday 23 May a woman was walking along an unclassified lane near to Old Hall Farm when she was struck by a farm quad bike.
âThe vehicle, which had been used for herding sheep, had rolled down a hill and through a hedge before colliding with the woman’
âIt then crashed through a gate, struck a wall and a storage hopper.
âThe woman, who is 58,  suffered head injuries and was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment.
âAlthough in a remote location there is a campsite close by and officers hope that someone from there may have witnessed the incident.
âAnyone with information is asked to visit the Ask Us About section on the West Mercia Police website quoting incident 492 of 23 May.â
