West Mercia Police officers in the Bromyard area of Herefordshire are appealing for information after a quantity of fuel was stolen from a vehicle in the Risbury area.

Officers believe that those behind the theft may have originally attempted to steal the digger. 

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“We have received a report that a quantity of diesel was stolen from a digger situated in the Risbury area sometime overnight 28/29 September.  

“It is believed a large vehicle was involved; the initial intent may have been to take the digger as a locked gate was taken off its hinges to access the vehicle.

“Please remain vigilant for any unusual activity and report anything suspicious to us.  You can do this online via www.westmercia.police.uk
