Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault on a member of rail staff at Colwall Rail Station, Herefordshire.

The incident happened on Tuesday 21 March at 10pm. 

A man, who was stood on the platform, shouted at the train guard and attacked the train with a screwdriver. He then threw the screwdriver at the train guard, striking him in the face. 

As a result of the attack, the train guard attended hospital and received stitches to a wound on his forehead.

The man is described as white, in his late 20s and at the time of the incident he was wearing a baseball cap and tracksuit.
