From Gloucestershire Constabulary:

One of our officers appeared on BBC Crimewatch Live today (Thursday) to do a renewed appeal for information after a man punched a woman in the face and tried to steal her French Bulldog puppy.

This happened on Downton Road between Stanley Downton and Leonard Stanley in Stroud on 18 January this year. The victim, Kerry Greenaway, was punched in the face as the man grabbed and tried to steal her puppy.

Detective Sergeant Marcus McInerney appeared on the episode alongside Kerry to describe how events unfolded, and to do a renewed appeal for anyone who recognises the man pictured in the Efit to come forward.

The man was described as being white, aged in his early 30s, with a strong Gloucestershire accent. He was wearing green wellies, green waders, a black jacket and a khaki hat. He was also walking a dog, thought to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

This crime had a huge impact on Kerry, and we’re urging for anyone who thinks they may know who the man is to report information to us online by completing the following form and quoting incident 434 of 5 October: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/

The appeal will only remain live on BBC iPlayer until 10.45am tomorrow (Friday) – you can watch it here from around 25 minutes 30 seconds in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001cs3t/crimewatch-live-series-16-episode-4
