Officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision in the village of Burghill in Herefordshire.
The collision happened at around 9.35am on Monday 1 May and involved a green Trek electric assisted pedal cycle.
The bike was travelling along Burghill Lane in the direction of Hereford when the collision happened.
The rider of the bike, a 60-year-old man, was air-lifted to Hereford County Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
