Police are advising motorists to avoid a busy route this morning, with a closure in place due to a concern for welfare.
Gloucestershire Constabulary have closed part of the A40 between Gloucester and Cheltenham this morning due to a concern for welfare.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said:
“We’ve closed part of the A40 in both directions between Gloucester and Cheltenham this morning due to a concern for welfare.
“Emergency services are currently at the scene between Elmbridge Court roundabout and Longford roundabout, which remains shut between these two points at this time.
“Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.”
