A Hereford pool club has issued an important message to customers — with the Easter School Holidays now here.

Novello’s Pool Bar on West Street in Hereford shared the following message on social media:

We’ve been much more lenient than previously with regard to numbers, and ages, allowed in during off term holidays recently.

We were all kids once, and there are not enough places for them to be safe and enjoy themselves.

We’ve also found a few diamonds in the rough on the pool tables because of it. However, we had more than a few issues during the last holidays, so a few more ground rules need to be applied.:

1) WE ARE NOT CHILDCARE!! Do not be sending groups of under 16’s (some as young as 12!!) unaccompanied to the club. That’s an extremely unfair responsibility to put on whoever’s working.

Without an older sibling or parent, they will no longer be allowed in. The fact this needs to be said is a bit shocking to be honest.

2) Personal hygiene. I’ve had enough of it. Wash your children please, quite a few of them need hosing. This also applies to a decent amount of adults.

The pool hall is quite a closed environment. I’m at the stage I may dual wield Lynx Africa and savagely attack people with them.

3) The club is for customers! It is not a youth club. 4 max to a table, if you aren’t playing pool or buying a drink, you will be leaving. There isn’t enough room, and somehow your average herefordian child has a minus score in spatial awareness.

4) MESS!!! Chewing gum on the floor will be met with the death penalty. Your mother’s might pick up all your muck, but we shouldn’t have to.

5) Tables. If I see anyone trying a jump or swerve shot while also not being good enough to pot a ball on the pocket, you’ll be straight off. We have pristine conditions, and if we’re forced to, we will ban all under 18s to protect them. Don’t make us do that .

Thank you, and enjoy your holidays!
