West Mercia Police have taken to social media to remind the public that 999 should only be called in an emergency, after a man called the number to complain that a delivery driver wouldn’t hand over his delivery because he wasn’t able to provide any ID.

Please DO NOT waste the time of our emergency services.

Today a caller rang 999 to complain that a delivery driver would not handover his delivery as he was not able to provide any ID.

Please only call 999 in an emergency where there is
