A pathway in Hereford remains closed today following a collision overnight.
The pathway on the A49 (Newtown Road) next to Pizza Hut in Hereford is expected to remain closed until repair work can be completed to roadside barriers that were damaged in the incident overnight. It is currently blocked off by police tape and people that normally use the route will need to use the path on the opposite side of the road.
The exact circumstances of what happened are unclear at present but local residents have reported a police presence in the area during the early hours. We’ve since approached West Mercia Police for further comment.
