Herefordshire Council and Stagecoach agree to put on a second bus for students from Ross-on-Wye who travel to college in Hereford.
It comes after parents shared their concerns over overcrowding and a number of students were left behind by buses, leaving some with no way to get to Hereford.
A campaign group was put together and Councillor John Harrington agreed to work alongside Stagecoach to come up with a solution.
Parent Kelly Roberts told Your Herefordshire:
“As part of our Campaign we contacted Councillor John Harrington who then worked on our behalf to sort things out with Stagecoach. Today we found out we were successful and as of Monday 4th October, Stagecoach will be running a 2nd bus alongside the original for the college pupils.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Councillor Harrington for his quick response and efforts in organising an emergency meeting. I’d also like to thank local parents for applying the pressure to get this through.”
