Parents have been left shocked after their 4-year-old daughter was ‘slapped in the face and knocked to the ground’ at a play park in Hereford.
The incident occurred on Sunday 6th April at around 12.30pm at the play area on Old School Lane in Hereford.
A post on social media said:
“On Sunday 6/4/24 at 12.30pm, my friend took her 4 year old daughter to Old School Lane park with her husband and Mother In Law.
“When they entered the park, a boy aged 7-8 in shorts and a t-shirt approached them and violently slapped her daughter across the face with such force she fell to the ground.
“He then spat at her and shouted racist remarks and ordering them to leave!
“They left obviously in shock and with a very distressed child who no longer wants to go to the park.
“This was an unprovoked assault, and absolutely disgusting behaviour!
“The police have been contacted.”
