Only four areas of England have a lower COVID-19 infection rate than Herefordshire, data released by the government today shows.

In the latest data, up until 6th December, Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate is at 46.2 cases per 100,000 population. This is DOWN on the 192.9 cases per 100,000 population recorded just a few weeks earlier on the 15th November.

The only areas of England that have a lower COVID-19 infection rate than Herefordshire are as follows:

CORNWALL: 21.7 cases per 100,000 population

TORBAY: 35.2 cases per 100,000 population

DORSET: 41.2 cases per 100,000 population

ISLE OF WIGHT: 16.2 cases per 100,000 population
