One person has been taken to hospital following a collision near Hereford this morning.

The collision occurred on the A49 at Lyde, around a mile north of Hereford.

West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the incident.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called to an RTC on the A49 near Lyde, Hereford at 7.36am after an ambulance came across the incident. 

“We also sent a paramedic officer to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a lorry and a car had been involved in a collision. 

“Ambulance staff treated one female patient for minor injuries before conveying her to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.”
