An NHS Healthcare worker has seen her flat destroyed by fire, just days before Christmas.

The fire occurred at the flat on Goodrich Grove on Sunday, when the ladies Christmas tree lights caught fire.

A GoFundMe page has been set up and says the following:

“I have set up this page to help my sister rebuild her home from scratch. She suffered a devastating fire on Sunday 12th December 21.

“Her Christmas tree lights which were around 3 years old went on fire whilst she was running a bath! Within minutes her whole flat was demolished,

“ALL her belongings destroyed. The only items she managed to save are important paperwork and a few photos. She has no clothing of her own and needs to start rebuilding her beautiful home which she has worked so, so hard for as a covid tester within the NHS.

“We ate grateful for ANY donation to help support her to get her independence back, she lives alone so only has one wage to support herself. Thank you for reading and any donations.”
