Motorists are advised to expect traffic misery in Hereford, with the temporary traffic lights on Edgar Street still stuck on red this morning.

Your Herefordshire has been informed by a number of drivers that the lights near Waitrose in Hereford remain stuck on red, and have done since around 10am on Saturday morning.

The issue caused tailbacks across the city on Saturday, with traffic particularly bad on Edgar Street, Newtown Road, Holmer Road, College Road and Grandstand Road.

The temporary traffic lights have been in place for several weeks, since a serious collision in the area.

The lights from Blackfriars Street appear to be changing, but the ones on the A49 are stuck on red.

Motorists are advised to leave extra time for their journey.

The roads are expected to be by busier than normal in Hereford, with the Hereford Remembrance Parade taking place this morning in St Peter’s Square.

Hundreds of people usually attend the event.
