Motorists could soon be warned in areas that hedgehogs tend to cross the road in one area of Herefordshire.
Have you seen hedgehogs crossing a road near you?
Ross Town Council are considering installing Hedgehog Crossing signs in Ross-on-Wye. That’s according to Ross-on-Wye Hedgehog Care and Advice.
The signs will alert motorists to the presence of hedgehogs and hopefully encourage careful driving.
To work out the best location(s) for these the group says that they need to find out where hedgehogs are regularly seen in and around the town.
If you head to the Ross-on-Wye Hedgehog Care and Advice Facebook page, you can let the group know a location which would benefit from a sign.
One user said that members of the public are also trying to get hedgehog crossing signage put in place in Monmouth.
Some areas of the UK already have such signage in place, including in Bishops Cleeve in Gloucestershire.
