Gardener, writer and broadcaster Monty Don has taken to social media to share his frustration over the lack of a COVID-19 booster programme in Herefordshire.
Monty Don tweeted saying:
“The government is urging us all to get boosters – and I would love to. But although I have been eligible for a month I have had no contact at all and there is no booster programme in the whole of the county of Herefordshire.”
His frustrations are shared by thousands of people across the county, with many being forced to either delay getting their booster, or choose to travel to places such as Malvern, Bromsgrove, Dudley or the Forest of Dean.
With the Government yesterday announcing that booster jabs would be offered to everyone aged 18 and over in England, it’s hoped that the COVID-19 booster programme will be ramped up in Herefordshire with walk-in clinics made available to members of the public.
