MFA Bowl have responded to reports that staff members are set to strike outside the bowling alley in Hereford later today.
A spokesperson for MFA Bowl spoke to Your Herefordshire and said.
“Just to confirm that a member of staff was dismissed by way of gross misconduct. There was overwhelming evidence for the Company to make this decision. Under the Employment Act, the individual has the right to appeal the decision, however, the Company will not tolerate the individuals behaviour in trying to damage the business and other employees positions and livelihoods.
“The bowling centre is one of the main indoor attractions in Hereford and has been for many years. Such publicity that has no substance can cause disruption that is not welcome.
“The individual is aware of the employment process.
“The Company remains committed to serve the public in Hereford and a refurbishment programme has been allocated to the bowling centre for this summer.”
