Health Secretary Matt Hancock will host a Downing Street Press Briefing at 5pm this evening, with the main topic of conversation expected to be regarding the rollout of vaccines across the United Kingdom.
It comes as figures show that 6,169,377 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have now been administered in England.
That’s an increase of 199,202 doses in the latest 24hr period. The drop in daily vaccinations yesterday is believed to be due to snowfall across parts of England which caused several centres to close.
5,727,693 people in England have received their first dose, with 441,684 of those having a second dose (fully vaccinated).
