A man was shot at by what is believed to be an air pistol or air rifle when he was out taking photos of Hereford yesterday evening.
Ian Jebb was on Greyfriars Bridge in Hereford, taking photos of the Old Bridge and The Left Bank, when shots were fired from a vehicle when he had his back to the road. Fortunately for Ian, the shots missed him and hit his tripod carrier, which was over his shoulder. Fortunately no damage was done, but the incident certainly could’ve been worse.

“Tried another photo tonight of the Cathedral but I forgot to take my torch so the old bridge is not visible. Whilst I had my back to the road someone drove past and took a shot at me with either an air pistol or air rifle! Luckily it missed me but hit my tripod carrier which was thrown over my shoulder, no damage but things could have been worse. I have reported this to the police but I doubt they will have any luck as I did not see the car they were in.”
The incident has been reported to West Mercia Police. Anyone with any information is asked to call them on 101.
