A man has been airlifted to hospital this afternoon after being seriously injured when falling down stairs at a shop in Hereford earlier today.
Curry’s in Hereford remains closed due to an accident inside the shop. A member of staff was stood outside the main entrance and explained to shoppers that the store would be closed for at least another hour. When asked the reason for the temporary closure, shoppers were told there had been an ‘accident inside the store’.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 11:13am to reports a patient had fallen down stairs at Hereford Retail Park. We sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MARS BASICS doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene. We have treated a man in a serious condition and he’s been conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham via air ambulance.”
