A major route in Herefordshire is closed in both directions following a serious collision.
The collision happened late this morning on the A465 (Hereford to Abergavenny Road).
The incident occurred between the junction for Clehonger and Locks Garage.
West Mercia Police are at the scene and directing traffic via a diversion route. West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are also in attendance.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“There is a road closure in place on the A465 near to Lock’s Garage, Allensmore, Hereford due to a serious RTC.
“The road is closed in both directions just past the turning to Clehonger (B4349) up to the junction of Church Road.
“Please avoid the area & use an alternative route.”
The road is expected to remain closed for the next few hours.
