An update from Wellington Parish Council:
URGENT – VILLAGE ROAD CLOSURE
Balfour Beatty have just said that Welsh Water are having a problem with the works going on in the Village Street and they are now saying that it will not be finished until the end of next week. It was originally planned to finish it this week so that the school could go back as normal after half term.
It is also not possible to keep the street open with light controls as the hole appears to be around 12 foot wide and covers most of the road.
Balfour Beatty are trying to see if they can hurry this work up but at the moment that does not seem possible – they are going to go and check the diversion signage today.
