From Lucton School:
Congratulations to our Year 11 pupils on an excellent set of GCSE results. Almost 40% of all entries were graded at 9-7, and well over half were at grade 9-6.
At Lucton, we pride ourselves on helping each individual to achieve their full potential, and there were also many other successes beyond the top grades.
These results may not have been generated by the usual public examinations process, but our pupils deserve tremendous credit for them nonetheless. The grades were calculated on the basis of each pupil’s work over a two-year period, so they provide a fair reflection of their hard work throughout their GCSE studies.
New Headmaster, Jon Tyler, commented:
‘It has been great to see so many happy pupils picking up their results today and I congratulate them all for their achievements, especially after such a difficult year. I am very much looking forward to getting to know them when I take up my post next month as they enter the Sixth Form.’
