A local resident in Hereford has taken to social media to alert home owners in the city after discovering cable ties attached to a gate at his parents house.
Mark Robinson posted the following message on Facebook, warning residents and especially dog owners:
“Warning to all dog owners in Hereford and especially the Redhill area. Today I arrived at my parents to find this on the gate. The thieves are now putting tags, zip ties, and/or marking on homes that have dogs.
“Be very aware and observant and spread the word please. Report to homeowners if you can and call the police if you see these signs and anybody hanging about.
“You have a duty to care to each other. Dogs are part of the family and must be protected.”
Noticed cable ties on your property or markings? It could be nothing but it’s certainly worth contacting West Mercia Police on 101 to get it recorded.
