A Herefordshire lorry driver was the hero after witnessing a collision on the M42 motorway in the Midlands.
The incident involved a car, that had two children in the back and their two parents in the front and a lorry. The collision occurred on Thursday evening.
Craig Anthony, a lorry driver for Tyrrells Court Ltd, was on the scene after witnessing the incident and he himself had to hit the brakes to avoid his lorry being involved in the collision.
Craig then rushed over to the car and pulled the two young children out of the back of the vehicle. The parents in the front had suffered injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening.
Fortunately, the children, who were obviously distressed by the incident, were comforted by Craig and given some food whilst emergency services dealt with the collision.
There was dense fog in the area at the time, with much of the Midlands under a weather warning.
