Local action group Here for Hereford have condemned the Herefordshire Council decision to reopen the Old Bridge in Hereford to all motorists from today (1st October).

The group says that today is a ‘bad day’ for pedestrians and cyclists, as ‘motorists claw back more road space despite a dual carriageway bridge running parallel alongside.’

The group goes on to say that ‘The Old Bridge was very popular with pedestrians and cyclists when the bridge was just open to buses and taxis.’
