Lidl has officially begun construction of its second store in Hereford, located on Belmont Road, on track to open its doors early next year.
The store will feature a 1,516m² sales area including the discounter’s award-winning bakery, the much-loved Middle of Lidl, and customer toilets with baby-changing facilities. Outside there will be ample parking for both cars and bicycles, including electric vehicle charging points, while solar panels will help power the store.
George Ledward, Regional Head of Property at Lidl GB, commented: “It’s an incredibly exciting moment for us as we announce that construction is now officially underway on our second Hereford store.
“We’ve seen demand for Lidl’s affordable, high-quality products continue to increase in the area, and this brand-new store will help us to serve shoppers across the town.
“We’re pleased to say that we’re currently on track to open our doors early next year and we will of course continue to keep the community updated as we progress through this construction phase.”
