Lidl in Hereford will almost double in size once work to extend the store into the former Poundworld unit is completed.
A planning application submitted back in March detailed that the supermarket chain wished to extend its floor space at its Hereford store as part of plans by Lidl to increase its retail footprint in the United Kingdom.
The planning application that was accepted states that Lidl will extend into the Poundworld unit and introduce a new service and loading area to help increase the amount of retail space that it can utilise.
There will also be slight alterations to parking at the front of the store. Lidl say that the changes are likely to see the company employ a few extra members of staff.
Work has started at the site.
