Just 64,833 adults across Herefordshire have visited the dentist in the last 24 months. That’s out of an estimated adult population of just over 160,000 based on 2019 government population statistics.

Data released by NHS Digital shows that 43% of the adult population visited their dentist in the 24 months ending 31st December 2020 and 28.1% of children in Herefordshire visited their dentist in the 12 months ending 31st December 2020. These numbers are lower than the average in England, where 44.5% of adults visited the dentist in the 24 months ending 31st December 2020 and 29.8% of children visited the dentist in the 12 months ending 31st December 2020.

This above data is based on patient data for the NHS Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, with data based on Herefordshire Council showing a slightly lower overall percentage of patients being seen in both adults and children.
