The following update is from Lady Hawkins’ School:

We’re sure that there will be various stories floating around in the media, so we would like to give you as much information as we are able to at this current time.

Students from one household tested positive using their home testing kits. These students have now gone to an NHS test centre to get a further test. Whilst we await these results then all contacts must self-isolate. If your child has been identified as a close contact then you will have received a separate email by now.

Several members of staff have also been identified as possible contacts, leaving us severely short staffed and forcing the closure of the whole school until this can be resolved.

We will update you all as soon as we have these results as to our next steps, but until then we are switching to remote learning from 9am tomorrow morning.

We would ask that people do not use social media to speculate, but email the school: pdixon@lhs.hereford.sch.uk if you have any questions.

In the meantime our whole school is undergoing a deep clean from our fantastic cleaning team.

Thanks for your support.
