Ignore the cloudy skies and light rain today. It’s set to be an absolute belter of a Bank Holiday in Herefordshire and the vast majority of the United Kingdom this weekend.

Cloud and drizzle should clear as we head into Saturday, with Sunday and Monday looking the best days with temperatures hitting highs of 23c.

This is the Met Office forecast for the West Midlands:

Saturday:

Early cloud breaks to patchy fair-weather cloud by midday, providing sunny spells through Saturday afternoon and possibly producing a few showers. Feeling warm come the afternoon. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Warm, dry and settled throughout this period. Plenty of sunshine through Sunday. Patchy cloud and sunny spells on Bank Holiday Monday but lengthier sunshine returning on Tuesday.
