With beer gardens open and trips away allowed in the United Kingdom, many people would’ve hoped that the bank holiday weekend was going to be a scorcher, but unfortunately they will be left disappointed.

Temperatures are set to drop over the coming days with the Met Office predicting highs of around 13c this weekend with sunny spells, large amounts of cloud and the odd shower. It will continue to feel very cold for the time of year at night with frosts possible.

The Met Office states the following for Thursday to Saturday:

Mostly dry on Thursday, though with the occasional scattered shower. These turn more frequent on Friday and Saturday, with sunny spells in-between. Feeling colder than recent, with night frosts possible.

Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday both look fairly similar but the showers should be less frequent.
