Update – Signs are now up confirming that the Iceland store in Hereford will close on Saturday 10th September.

The store is thought to have seen a considerable fall it footfall over recent months with many shoppers now heading to The Food Warehouse store (Part of Iceland) on Holmer Road on the outskirts of the city.
The loss of Iceland would be seen as a major disappointment for Hereford city centre, especially Eign Gate. In recent years, Peacocks and Poundstretcher have also closed their doors on Eign Gate, although these units have now been filled by Matrix and student accommodation.
