From Tuesday 24th May 2022, and every Tuesday, all those who are 60 years old and older can bag 10% off their shop, with no minimum spend, at Iceland and The Food Warehouse.
This will make Iceland Foods the first and only supermarket in the UK to be offering this type of discount as it continues to help its shoppers tackle the rising costs of living.
The ten per cent discount will be available to those over sixty every Tuesday and will apply across all products that includes a range of great value meal essentials.
Age UK recently revealed that three-quarters of older people in the UK (9.4 million) are worried about the rising cost of living[i]. In response, Iceland is launching the discount across its stores and The Food Warehouse stores in the hope that it will help the older generation cut down their weekly food bill.
Richard Walker, Managing Director at Iceland, said: “We have a long history of supporting our over 60s customers, such as when we launched ‘Elderly Hour’ at the height of the pandemic.
“The cost of living crisis has made support for these customers even more important, which is why I’m proud that we’re finding new ways to support them, including the launch of this discount.
“We hope it will help all those in this age category to cut costs where they can.”

Any customer aged 60 years or over (with valid proof of identification, as specified below) with a registered Bonus Card is entitled to receive 10% off the purchase price of qualifying goods purchased in store at any participating Iceland or The Food Warehouse store, subject to these terms and conditions.
The 10% discount is only available on a Tuesday, during store opening hours.
Valid proof of identification must be shown at the point of purchase in order to receive the over 60s 10% discount, which shall include any one of the following:
- Senior Bus Pass.
- Driver’s License.
- The Senior Railcard.
- Freedom Pass.
Discount is available in store only. Discount cannot be used online or at The Range or Swift stores.
Due to Minimum Unit Pricing, the 10% discount cannot be used in relation to any purchases of alcohol in Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales.
Valid Bonus Card required.
Excludes purchase of carrier bags, Bonus Card savings and any selected in store promotions.
- The over 60s discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.
- Bulk purchases of 6 or more of any one product will not qualify for the discount. Any goods purchased are strictly not for resale.
- Discount available for one purchase only in a single transaction.
- Iceland shall not be held responsible for any computer or equipment failure, which results in the 10% discount in-store not being applied.
- Iceland reserves the right to withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend the discount in whole or in part at any time.
- Redeeming the 10% discount in-store shall be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- Offer available across mainland UK and Northern Ireland only.
