Earlier this week West Midlands Ambulance Service (Which covers the majority of the West Midlands, including Herefordshire) were called to reports of a disorder where machetes were involved and people had serious injuries.
Along with 10 police officers, they sent 2 ambulances, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and a Midlands Air Ambulance with a doctor on board, only to discover that it was a hoax.
They were later informed that one person was arrested and in custody for wasting police time.
The above incident didn’t happen in #Herefordshire but it highlights the issues that our emergency services face. PLEASE only call them in a genuine emergency.
