St Michael’s Hospice is providing space to members of a new support group helping families before, during and after a breast cancer diagnosis.
The Herefordshire Breast Cancer Support Group, which will operate independently of St Michael’s, launched at the Hospice today.
It will meet bi-monthly at St Michael’s, and was set-up following the gap left by the closure of Hereford’s Breast Cancer Haven earlier this year.
Di Emmett, one of the group’s founders, said: ‘Those with breast cancer can feel lonely and isolated, particularly if they were diagnosed during Covid, so we aim to provide expert help and knowledge allowing those who need it to live well both physically and mentally, and to share their emotions during their journey.’
