A horse has sadly died after getting stuck in a ditch in Herefordshire.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Leominster and Bromyard were called to the incident on Tuesday.
Belmont Equine Vets also attended the incident near Leominster.
A spokesperson for Leominster Fire Station said:
“Yesterday morning we were called to assist a 13 year old horse that had fallen and got stuck in a ditch just outside of town.
“After several hours of efforts from the large animal rescue team from Bromyard Fire Station, ourselves and Belmont equine vets, the trauma of being in the ditch was too much and the horse was sadly put down.”
