Holidaymakers arriving back from Spain will have to quarantine for 14 days after the government added the country to the list of at-risk countries.

It means people arriving back from Spain, the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands will have to isolate for 14 days from today.

The decision has led to frustration, with some people only having booked a holiday to Spain just hours before the decision was announced.

One Twitter user said:

@TomBoadle – Really pleased I booked a flight to Ibiza this morning.
