Herefordshire Freemasons have launched a community volunteering initiative and are excited to share two recent events that have taken place. This initiative aims to complement their existing financial support for various charitable causes throughout the county.

Recently, members of the Caeruleum Club have been actively supporting several events for St Michael’s Hospice. The club is for newer Freemasons within Herefordshire which aims to support the community while also organising social and educational events,

On 12th July, they supported the Sue Parry Sports Festival by helping to marshal the car park alongside regular volunteers for the Hospice. Last weekend, a team organised by the club, including members from across Freemasonry in Herefordshire, marshalled five checkpoints throughout the town centre of Hereford for the Venus Midnight Walk, again supporting St Michael’s Hospice.

These events are just the start of a new programme of volunteering.

The programme will engage Herefordshire Freemasons in ‘hands-on’ volunteer work, allowing them to contribute their time and skills directly to community projects. This move builds upon the organisation’s long-standing tradition of community involvement and financial support for many charities in Herefordshire.

Two more events are already in place and other events are currently being finalised. The initiative is expected to cover a wide range of activities, from supporting local charities to participating in community events.

This highlights the spirit of community engagement in Herefordshire, with both the Freemasons and St Michael’s Hospice working to make a positive impact on local lives.
