Herefordshire Council is continuing its additional investment in the county’s roads, with a programme of resurfacing works taking place throughout June that will focus on improving the health of some key B-roads.
The council is investing an additional £13.5 million into the county’s highway network in 2025/26, with the following schemes scheduled for June:
B4360 – from the C1037 to the B4529 at Cobnash
B4225 – From A449 to B4224 at Old Gore
B4203 – From the B4204, Upper Sapey to Pouke Lane
B4224 – Bromsash to South Hereford Golf Club
B4203 – Sapey bends
B4224 – From the U70244 to Bromsash
B4224 – Bromsash Village
B4352 – Crossway Farm to Woodyatts Cross, Madley
Cllr Barry Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services, said:
“The maintenance and improvement of our roads is an absolute top priority for the council, with the aim of improving the network’s resilience and delivering better journeys for local people, as well as visitors and trade vehicles.
“I am delighted works are progressing well and look forward to seeing these June works completed and building upon our record of success.
“We are committed to delivering the best possible road network for Herefordshire, which is why we are investing a further additional £13.5million for improvement works for 2025/26, building upon our additional £8million investment last year.”
