Exciting expansion plans for Hereford Skate Park have moved a step forward following a confirmation of funding.

The skate park, located on Holmer Road, is extremely popular with skaters of all ages.

In a post on the Hereford Skate Park Facebook page, the news about the funding and expansion plans were confirmed.

“Phase 4 is here! The funding for the expansion is confirmed and we are excited to announce that the design and build of HSP4 has been awarded to Betong Park!

“We at WS4H — the 100% community run charity behind Hereford Skatepark — are so stoked to have Betong on board.

“Not only have they built some of the raddest parks in Europe – https://www.betongpark.co.uk/projects, they also have a proven track record of working with community groups like ours (read the interview with Daryl from Betong about one their recent UK builds here: https://www.theskateboarderscompanion.com/post/the-cann-hall-and-betongpark-ltd-interview-with-daryl-nobbs

“To celebrate and have your say in the design, come and join us on Saturday 29th October for a drop in design consultation between 10am and 2pm. Daryl, Stuart, Dom and Sam will be coming up from London to meet as many local riders as they can.

“We’ll also be having a bit of a skatejam, including food and music and will be launching our autumn sale in the Boombox skateshop so make sure you come down and get involved. Fingers crossed for good weather!

“Check out a few of their stunning design images below (noting that these are just concepts not the final plans and all is still to be decided with your input!).”
